Color Poem
Cotton Candy
Blue hums the sorrow of depression
Purple sits on a throne of royalty
Pink is the girly laughter ringing through a mother’s ears
Blue keeps the stars from tumbling down
Purple is the deep bruise of a five-year-old’s first bike ride
Pink is the comfort of a man’s sexuality
